History
In 14 centuries ago the temple premises was covered with dense forest which was also a grazing land. Khudni often took her cow to graze there. The cow stopped giving milk on day and the routine continue for over a period of days until one day the cow left the sight of Khudni.
When she found the cow it was shedding milk. When Khudni narrated the incident to the village folks they dug up the ground and found a lingam. After Khudni died her remains were buried besides the Lingam and the people built a temple which they named "Khudneshwar Asthan". The temple got it name from the Muslim who found it.
During the British Empire, Narhan estate built this temple in 1858 and appointed a priest as a caretaker. Devotees flock there year round, but especially during its annual festival of Maha Shivratri and in the month of Shravan, crowds emerge for darshana and worship.
In 2008 Bihar Religious Trust Board Chairman Kishore Kunal provided financial assistance from the board and announced it to be developed for tourists to demonstrate Hindu-Muslim unity.
